Our Process
Initial Meeting
This is our introduction to the project and where we "interview" each other, finding out how you plan to use your garden and generating your wish list. This meeting will result in a written proposal defining the scope of our work.
Phase One
Preliminary Landscape Design
After an initial design meeting we prepare a full-color preliminary master landscape plan for the design concept phase of your project. If applicable, we begin to work with city or county agencies and generate a preliminary project cost.
Phase Two
Working Drawings
A working drawing is a highly detailed electronic-based drawing that provides biddable documents to the contractors and/or general contractor on your job. Items that are often included are hardscape layout, pool design, detailed planting plan, lighting and electrical concept and a drainage concept. During this phase we assist you in selecting construction materials and colors, pool finishes, tile and anything else you might need. A visit to the nursery is included to select trees and large shrubs and as a way to give us insight into your“plant personality.”
Phase Three
Construction Site Observation
Frequent visits to the project throughout the process help interpret the drawings for both you and your contractors. Pottery, fabrics, furniture and accessories are selected for the final touches in this phase.
